From 2008 the village of Le Tonnare is run by MARCEGAGLIA Tourism...

The tourist structure is the object of various investments, the objective being the revaluation of the whole village, with this project being added to the investments of the Italian Tourism Board, of which Marcegaglia tourism participates.

The hotel complex rising from the Western coast of Sardinia, in the Gulf of Asinara, in the area known as Tonnara Saline, 7km. from Stintino, a well known fishing village that today depends on tourism as its main source of livelihood.

On the Western coast, roughly 30km distance is Porto Torres, originally called Turris Lybissonis, the major centre for connection with Genova and Livorno, a historical and artistic place of interest. Travelling down the Western coast towards Alghero, we find Argentiera, where one can admire the fascinating disused buildings of the old mine and the characteristic village of the miners.

The project foresees the restructure of the village of the old Tonnara, in a comprehensive, residential, tourist complex overlooking the sea. The area characterised by the typical Mediterranean vegetation, includes a vast area dedicated to sporting activities with large areas of greenery.
