The village

The village
A name that gets its history from past structures...

The village of Le Tonnare is situated on the North Western part of Sardinia close to the suggestive Archipelago of Asinara, about 2km. from Stintino, a small fishing village founded in 1885 by farmers and fishermen in one of the most characteristic coastal areas of the Island.

Le Tonnare di Stintino is quite a unique tourist village, it is the result of the restoration of an antique tuna factory that for many years was a symbol of this coastal region.

The village surrounds an area of roughly 15 hectares, facing a breath taking stretch of sea. From 2008 the village of Le Tonnare is run by Marcegaglia Tourism, with the concept of a relaxing holiday, taking in the sea air and tasting the Mediterranean cuisine.
